Elijah & Callie
We met on our first day of high school, sitting at the same table in Algebra. We quickly became friends, though we weren’t especially close. A few years later, we ended up at the same table again in senior-year Statistics and this time, we couldn’t stop talking and laughing, so much so that our teacher often had to separate us.
We became best friends, constantly reminding each other how much we loved one another, never realizing our friendship was slowly becoming something more.
When Callie moved to Washington for college, we had to navigate long distance. Being apart made us realize just how much we missed being part of each other’s everyday lives and maybe that we were more than friends. One night, Elijah shared how he felt, and Callie admitted she felt the same.
We decided to take a chance on a relationship, knowing it might change our friendship forever. When the semester ended, Callie came back to San Francisco for a day, and we spent it together. Nervous but excited, we shared our first kiss and somehow, we both knew we had found something worth taking a chance on.
After college, Callie moved back to San Francisco. We moved into a tiny 450-square-foot apartment in Nob Hill, two weeks before the start of the pandemic. Little did we know we’d be spending a lot more time there than planned. Four apartments and six years later, we still love living together, thankfully, with a little more space.
For our 10-year anniversary, we spent the weekend in Half Moon Bay. After a perfect dinner, Elijah took Callie to a gorgeous misty cliffside, where we bundled up and talked about the past ten years and everything we had built together. Then, Elijah got down on one knee and asked Callie if she would marry him. She said yes.
We were born in the same hospital, just a little over six months apart 🙂

Getting Around in San Francisco

Wedding:

  • There’s parking available onsite, but we encourage you to leave the car at home and enjoy the celebration! We’re offering rideshare vouchers to help get you home safely. Details for redeeming vouchers will be shared closer to the event.

Exploring San Francisco:

  • You’re welcome to rent a car, but keep in mind that street parking can be limited in some neighborhoods, and certain hotels charge for overnight parking. For this reason, rideshare and public transportation are often the easiest ways to get around.

Fun Options:

  • Waymo: A futuristic and relaxing way to get around San Francisco in a fully driverless car!
  • Cable Cars: A historic San Francisco icon and a fun, scenic way to experience the city’s famous hills.
